GREEN BAY - A St. Patrick's Day tradition took place in downtown Green Bay Saturday.
One that had some people sporting a new 'do' ahead of the holiday.
Saint Brendan's Inn hosted an annual head shaving fundraiser for the Saint Baldrick's Foundation.
Participants stepped up to the barber's seat to get their hair cut.
The event raised money for childhood cancer research.
Hairdressers at the event said it's inspiring to see people let go of their locks for a good cause.
"It's really inspiring. It takes a lot of courage to do this, especially the females that come out. And we also get a lot of kids as well that do this. It's just kind of an overwhelming joy feeling that they're willing to raise money and shave their heads for such an awesome cause," said Erin Jeltema.
The event raised nearly $70 thousand for cancer research.
