GREEN BAY - It was a wet day of work for some Packers employees.
More than 50 of them took part in the second annual community day.
They helped install two new playgrounds at John Muir Park on Green Bay's west side.
The Green Bay Parks and Recreation Department recommended the site.
The equipment was donated by the Packers.
The team's president says it's a great way to help the community.
"It's a great way for our employees to give back. We do a number of things throughout the year where we have players and coaches and playground build and other things, but this is really the one thing, the one event where it's strictly our employees,” said Mark Murphy.
Some other Packers employees delivered homemade fleece blankets to area nursing homes.
