ASHWAUBENON - A Delta jet made an emergency landing at Austin Straubel airport in Ashwaubenon Sunday evening.
Airport Director Tom Miller said the airplane took off from Austin Straubel around 4:45 p.m.
While en route to Detroit, Michigan, smoke filled the cabin.
The plane returned to the airport and made an emergency landing around 5:10 p.m.
Sixty-five passengers and a crew of four evacuated the aircraft on the taxiway using a set of stairs.
They were transported to the airport building and checked out by medical crews. Everyone was released.
Delta is now in the process of re-booking flights for the passengers.
Officials are investigating on what caused the cabin to fill with smoke.
