ALLOUEZ - A state historical park went back in time to re-create the magic of Christmas past.

Green Bay's Heritage Hill celebrated the "Spirit of Christmas Past" this weekend.

Visitors learned how Christmas has been celebrated over the past 200 years.

There were crafts, carolers, and lots of christmas cookies. And a bonus for the kids, a shadow play!

Park officials said the event is a great way to learn about holiday traditions.

"A great opportunity to learn some of the traditions of a lot of the cultures that moved to the United States, really, in the 18-1900s. We're able to display a lot of that history," said Heritage Hill's Executive Director Charles Pelky.

The annual event ended Saturday.
