GREEN BAY - Some area high school students became CEOs for the day, as they competed in the annual Junior Achievement Business Challenge.
The competition took place Saturday afternoon at NWTC in Green Bay.
More than 125 business mentors and high school students teamed up for the event.
Teams of two students and two mentors tried their hands at running a fictional company.
The challenge was to plan and execute a winning business strategy.
Scholarships were awarded to the students with the best company performances.
Whether they won or not, each student walked away with a better understanding of business.
"This competition gives them a feel for business, and they may have a career interest in that area, they may not. It gives them a very good feel for what business is all about," said Tim Douglas with Wisconsin Public Service.
FOX 11's own Tom Milbourn was the emcee for the event.
