GREEN BAY - Students from a Green Bay middle school grabbed their buckets Monday and drummed along to the beat.
It's all part of a new program between the public school district and the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra. It's called "Music for a Great City."
The students will open this Saturday's performance of the symphony.
And before that happens some of the performers from Red Smith Middle School are busy getting ready.
"There has been a lot of response. A lot of parents have been calling saying what a nice and unique opportunity for their students to be able to attend a concert like this," said Mark DeMuth, Music Chair at Red Smith.
Any sixth grade students enrolled in a general music class, band or orchestra can participate in the two-week program. This includes musicians from any middle school in the district.
