GREEN BAY - Some Green Bay Gamblers hockey players stopped by Aurora BayCare Medical Center Monday to give away teddy bears.
More than 6,700 stuffed animals were collected during Saturday's teddy bear toss game.
Forward Alex Kile scored the first goal at the game. That's when it started raining toys!
Those involved in delivering the teddy bears say it's always great to give back.
"It's nice to follow through up with this whole process and distribute the bears to the kids and you know, we're just giving back to the community because the community really supports us so it’s nice to give back," said Kile.
"We have heard throughout the years we've heard back from people how much that bear has meant to that particular kid so again I just can't say enough, it's just a great event for us and it's grown every year," added Terry Charles from PMI Entertainment Group.
This was the 14th year the Gamblers have held a teddy bear toss.
Since it began, more than 71,000 bears have gone to children throughout Northeast Wisconsin.
