GREEN BAY - The Packers won't be back inside the Don Hutson Center until training camp, but the practice facility was abuzz Saturday with the NFL's High School Player Development Camp.
About 250 high schoolers from around Wisconsin took part in the camp which was put on in conjunction with the National Guard.
In addition to football skills, participants learned about life skills like time management, community involvement, and leadership.
They also got the rare chance to take the field like their Packer heroes.
I think it's pretty cool to know a lot of big name people have been in the same spot we're sitting in right now, so it's kind of cool just to look around," said John Horst of Suring.
It's very exciting you know probably sitting right where Aaron Rodgers or Clay Matthews or Donald Driver was standing so it's an honor," said Jonas Lamore of Wautoma.
The camp concludes Sunday with the top 12 players being selected to compete against campers from other locations around the state.
