GREEN BAY (AP) - Dozens of volunteers will spend Christmas and New Year's Day parking cars, collecting tickets and cleaning up Lambeau Field to raise money for area not-for-profit organizations.
The Green Bay Packers will take on the Chicago Bears at home on Christmas and the Detroit Lions on New Year's Day.
Amy Murphy, outreach specialist and volunteer coordinator for Cerebral Palsy Inc., tells the Green Bay Press-Gazette that finding enough volunteers for games on holidays can be challenging.
But Jim Joy has volunteering for Cerebral Palsy Inc. for more than a decade. The 68-year-old also volunteered when the Packers faced the Bears on Christmas in 2005. It was the only other time the Packers played on the holiday.
He says if there's a game, he'll be parking cars - including this Christmas.
