GREEN BAY - It may be the middle of winter, but water skiers are already preparing to hit the lakes this summer.
The Wisconsin Water Ski Federation hosted the world's largest indoor water ski convention and expo at the KI Convention Center this weekend in Green Bay.
Champion instructors from around the world taught clinics about all aspects of the sport, including jump tricks and pyramid building.
Visitors could also check out the latest water skiing equipment.
Organizers say now is the perfect time to start preparing for the upcoming season.
"Since all of us Northerners hibernate, this is the time that we want to get ready, and gear up for the next season. So, it's kind of a kickoff for us to get excited and get going," said chair Cathy Luiting.
The convention and expo is in its 37th year.
This was the first time it has been held in Green Bay.
