GREEN BAY - Green Bay's Broadway district was transformed into a winter wonderland Saturday for its 10th annual "Winterfest" celebration.
Ice carvers were busy creating wintry sculptures as locals checked out the many street vendors.
This year's event was the 10th anniversary celebration.
For the past decade, Winterfest has helped showcase the Broadway district by attracting visitors during what is often the slowest part of the season.
"It is a challenging time for a lot of retailers. After the holidays, it's a bit of lull. So we're really trying to promote shopping locally and promoting the small businesses that are already here," said On Broadway Inc. Executive Director Christopher Naumann.
The event also featured a winter hayride and a giant ice throne, where visitors could stop and take pictures.
