DE PERE - Help from our area is on the way to the East Coast.
A Wisconsin Public Service crew left Thursday morning.
Twenty-two field technicians, two supervisors, and one fleet mechanic left for Connecticut.
They'll help clear away downed trees and fix broken poles.
"If you watch the footage of what's out there, and see what people are going through, it's just the right thing to do,” said WPS president Chuck Cloninger. "If we had a situation where we need help, we would expect the same."
WPS crews will be gone for up to two weeks.
