MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) - Broadwind Energy says the work to fill a $35 million order for wind turbine towers will be done at its Manitowoc facility.
Broadwind said Thursday the order, from a U.S. wind turbine manufacturer, includes towers for various domestic wind projects. The company expects to deliver the towers this year.
Broadwind CEO Peter Duprey says the level of activity in the company's tower business remains strong. The company is based in Cicero, Ill., and has about 800 employees at facilities across the country.
