SILVER CREEK - Several Sheboygan County fire departments responded to a duplex fire Saturday night.
Authorities say they were called to the scene near State Highway 144 in Silver Creek around 5:30.
Sheriff's officials say when crews arrived flames were visible from a rear bedroom window.
Officials say Dean Risse, 71, entered the duplex before crews arrived.
Risse suffered a severe head injury. His condition is unknown.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
