MANITOWOC - A Valders man has been convicted in a fatal drunken driving case.
A jury found Dean Koenig, 41, guilty of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle Wednesday.
Prosecutors say Koenig was drunk when he hit Wayne Scharenbroch in April 2010. Scharenbroch died in the crash.
According to court documents, Koenig told police he knew he hit something, but didn't stop because he thought he hit a deer.
The jury acquitted Koenig of hit-and-run and another charge.
Koenig will be sentenced March 15.
