MANITOWOC - Manitowoc police have arrested a man and are searching for three others in a home invasion and armed robbery.
It happened Wednesday around 9:50 p.m. in the 2300 block of S. 23rd St.
Police say a 39-year-old woman and her 20-year-old daughter were home when four masked men forced their way in.
Investigators say at least two of the four men had handguns. They say the women were forced to the ground at gunpoint and the suspects demanded the combination to a safe, which one of the women gave.
Police say the suspects took prescription medications from the home and then left. The women were not hurt.
Officers responding to the scene gathered information about the incident and were able to determine who one of the suspects was. A 30-year-old Manitowoc man was arrested at his home a short time later. Police are recommending armed robbery and false imprisonment charges.
Investigators are still working to figure out who the other three suspects are.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Manitowoc Police Department at (920) 686-6551.
