SHEBOYGAN - A house fire early Sunday morning displaced a family of four in Sheboygan.
It started at a three-story home in the 600 block of Erie Avenue just after 3:00 a.m.
Officials said the fire spread to all three stories of the home, with the heaviest flames on the third floor.
The family was able to escape the home without any injuries.
Crews were on the scene five minutes after the call came in and worked for more than two hours to get the fire under control.
Officials said units were on the scene for about 10 hours, as there were several fires that were difficult to get to.
According to the Sheboygan Fire Department, fire damage was limited to one room on the first floor, two rooms on the second and third floors, the attic and the roof.
Officials said smoke and water damage is significant throughout the home, and estimate damages at $150,000.
The fire was called in as a chimney fire, but fire officials said the cause remains under investigation.
