PLYMOUTH - A man is in custody after shots were fired during a standoff at a Sheboygan County motel.
It happened Wednesday just before noon at the Maple Leaf Inn on State Highway 57 in Plymouth.
Authorities say a deputy serving civil papers at the motel was met by a man armed with a shotgun. The armed man then retreated into his room.
Sheriff's officials say the incident ended about two and a half hours later when the 50-year-old man surrendered to SWAT personnel.
Authorities say no one was injured in the incident.
The man is being held at the Sheboygan County Detention Center.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, Plymouth Police Department and the SWAT team were on hand to resolve the situation.
