SHEBOYGAN - Two people are injured after a vehicle struck a building Monday morning in Sheboygan.
It happened around 9:20 a.m. at 501 N. 8th St.
Police say a medical condition is believed to have caused the 71-year-old Sheboygan man to lose control of his vehicle.
Before hitting and causing minor damage to the building, authorities say the man’s vehicle struck a parked car, a light pole and a large concrete planter.
Witnesses tell police at one point the vehicle may have reached nearly 80 miles per hour.
The vehicle was severely damaged in the wreck and police had to free a 58-year-old Sheboygan woman from the passenger side. She was airlifted to Froedtert Hospital near Milwaukee for her injuries. The driver has minor injuries.
