WALDO, Wis. (AP) - A 38-year-old Waldo man has been arrested after authorities found homemade explosives in his home.
The Sheboygan Press reports the man has a history of criminal charges for mixing his own chemical explosives. He was arrested Monday.
Sheboygan County sheriff's deputies were called to a home on the 700 block of West Second Street early Monday and discovered large amounts of chemicals and other explosives.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit was called in to help. According to a news release, the unit described the materials as "extremely volatile." The materials were removed from the house and either made safe or destroyed.
Authorities are still investigating.
