TOWNSHIP OF ANIWA - Officials identified the man killed in a Township of Aniwa crash as Thomas Koszarek of Antigo.
The two-vehicle crash happened on Sugar Bush Road just south of Now Road around 11:45 Saturday morning.
Officials say Koszarek's car crossed the centerline into the northbound lane into the path of a pickup truck. The truck's driver says the car then turned sideways in front of the truck, and the truck hit the passenger side of the car.
Both vehicles ended up in the east ditch of Sugar Bush Road.
Authorities say Koszarek didn't have a pulse when they arrived on the scene. They also determined he wasn't wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The coroner says Koszarek may have died before the two vehicles crashed.
The pickup's driver had minor injuries.
Drugs, alcohol and slippery road conditions are not believed to be factors in the crash.
