FLORENCE COUNTY - A house explosion in northern Wisconsin sent one man to the hospital with serious burns.
It happened around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in Florence County. Officials say the 63-year-old man told first responders that he was trying to light the fireplace when the blast happened. He suffered burns to his face, hands and lower half of his body. The blast blew out a wall in the home.
The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
