ANTIGO, Wis. (AP) - A 5-year-old girl has died after a weekend off-road vehicle crash in Langlade County.
A Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources spokesman tells WSAW-TV the girl was riding the UTV, or utility task vehicle, with a 61-year-old man when it crashed and both were thrown from the vehicle. The accident happened Sunday afternoon about 9 miles east of Antigo.
The man was not seriously injured. The girl was taken to a Marshfield hospital where she later died. Her name has not been released.
The DNR is investigating. The agency is not saying who was driving.
