Ice breaking on the Menominee River
Avoid the Boom Boat Landing

MARINETTE - There is a safety alert for those using the Menominee River as ice breaking operations begin.
The U.S. Coast Guard wants folks to stay off the ice near the Boom Boat Landing starting today through March 1. That area is situated between Marinette, Wisconsin and Menominee, Michigan.
Construction work/ice breaking is underway and officials say the ice in that area won’t be safe for the rest of the winter.
