CLINTONVILLE - Law enforcement agencies were at Schutt Industries in Clintonville Tuesday, but the reasons for the apparent investigation are unclear.
One of the agencies is the Defense Criminal Investigative Service, which is a law enforcement arm within the Department of Defense. Local and state officials say they are not involved in the investigation.
Several workers told FOX 11 they were told Tuesday morning to go home for the day but expect to return to work Wednesday.
The company has declined our request for comment.
According to its website, "Schutt Industries (SI) was established in 1998 in Clintonville, WI. SI produces high performance military trailers and custom engineered ground systems. Years of product longevity and the "need it, get it" customer service attitude have made SI a leader in the defense market. We are a full service facility operating within 300,000 square feet of manufacturing space in which we fabricate, weld, machine, assemble and paint, all in-house."
