POUND - A federal agency is proposing $184,800 in fines against a Pound wood pallet manufacturer for unsafe working conditions.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) filed 16 violations this week against Northeastern Wisconsin Wood Products.
The government says the company improperly exposed workers to amputation hazards.
In total, Northeastern Wisconsin Wood Products has been cited by OSHA for 55 violations as the result of six previous inspections.
The company says it will appeal the fines and is in the process of making changes to improve worker safety.
