TOWN OF ELCHO - Officials in Langlade County are investigating the death of a snowmobiler.
At noon Saturday, deputies received a report of a deceased man found near a snowmobile on private property.
The property was located on the northern portion of Otter Lake in the town of Elcho.
The man has since been identified as Robert Ottman, 55, of Rhinealnder.
A preliminary investigation shows Ottman apparently drove his snowmobile onto the private property in an attempt to gain access to Otter Lake.
In doing so, his snowmobile became stuck. The cause of death is still under investigation.
Langlade sheriff's officials ask that anyone with information regarding Ottman's whereabouts on Friday evening to call (715) 627-6411.
