GREEN BAY - The first three suspects from the large-scale marijuana-growing operation near Lakewood were sentenced Monday.
Jose Alfredo Sierra-Aguilar, Pedro Infante-Ramirez and Guillermo Chavez-Carrion each received 30 months in federal prison.
Authorities announced in August they made seven arrests after discovering more than 8,400 marijuana plants, which would have been worth millions of dollars on the street.
All but one of the suspects was in the country illegally. They would have to serve their prison time before any possible deportation proceedings would begin.
Four others are charged in the bust.
