BONDUEL - It was an explosive post-Thanksgiving celebration in Bonduel Saturday.
The crowd at Doc's Harley Davidson rushed to claim prizes at the annual Turkey "Blow-Up" Event.
Employees spend countless hours building the giant paper-mache turkey.
The bird is stuffed with a mortar round and colored balls good for various prizes.
When the bird explodes, the balls go flying.
Then, it's every man for himself.
"A lot of people do a lot of events, but, I don't know, blowing up a turkey just seems like a fun thing to do," said owner Steve 'Doc' Hopkins.
Hopkins said the explosive show requires approval from as far up as the Department of Homeland Security.
The event is in its fifth year.
