Vehicle falls through ice in Shawano County

SHAWANO COUNTY - Three people were rescued after their vehicle fell through a lake in Shawano County on Saturday.
The accident happened just before 7 p.m. on Shawano Lake.
Authorities say the the driver was attempting to drive off the lake when she drove into open water.
The driver and two passengers were able to get out of the car and climb onto the roof.
They were stranded for several minutes before being rescued.
All three were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The Shawano Sheriff's Department is warning people who venture on the ice to use extreme caution due to the warmer temperatures.
