CHILTON - One by one attorneys for the four defendants questioned Donessa Davis to see what role if any their clients played in holding Davis against his will and assaulting him with Krazy glue.
Davis told the court he went to the Lakeview Motel in Calumet County to meet Therese Ziemann, where they mutually agreed to tie him up.
But Davis says there was a knock on the door and the three other defendants, including his estranged wife and another lover, entered the room.
"I guess that's when it went to a different level where I was you know wanting to leave. Um. It got chaotic real quick real fast," said Davis.
Davis' answers were at times slow and he appeared uncertain of
all the facts. He was sure it was Ziemann who Krazy glued his
genitals to his stomach.
And he testified he asked the group to untie him from the
bed.
"Be cut loose, yes I said let me loose," he told the court.
The judge indicated that was enough probable cause to bind all four women over for trial. District attorney Ken Kratz was pleased but declined on camera comment.
Only Michelle Belliveau's attorney offered a not guilty pleas for his client. The other three will proceed to a formal arraignment but before that expect a motion to dismiss by at least one defendant.
"The law does not require someone to turn someone loose to stop someone else from doing something and that cannot constitute false imprisonment," said Nila Robinson, Sewell's attorney.
Belliveau's attorney isn't ruling out a plea deal but also likes his odds at facing a jury.
"I think there's an emotional impact that could go against him," said Ralph Sczygelski, Belliveau's attorney.
Suggesting Davis might not be viewed as the victim in this case.
The other three women who did not enter pleas will get the
chance to do so next month.
