NEENAH (AP) - The attorney representing a 16-year-old accused of killing his father has withdrawn a request to have the case heard in juvenile court.

Zachary Reid is being held on $300,00 cash bond. He's charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of his father, 53-year-old Brett Reid. He was suffocated Oct. 5 at their Neenah home.

Reid would face life in prison if convicted in adult court, with a judge possibly setting a parole date. A conviction in juvenile court would send Reid to detention until he reaches 25.

Because the 16-year-old is facing a homicide charge, his case automatically begins in adult court.

Court documents say Reid dragged his father's body to the trunk of the family's car, drove it to a Town of Neenah elementary school and left it there.
