ASHWAUBENON - Testimony in the trial of Anrietta Geske started Tuesday.

Police say Anrietta Geske was drunk and speeding last spring when she collided with another car near Bay Park Square in Ashwaubenon. The two 18-year-olds in the car, Talhia Heroux and Ashley Britsch-Knetzger, were killed.

The jury, which is from the Eau Claire area and is being sequestered in an area hotel when the trial is not in session, heard the first testimony in the trial today.

But when their day at the courthouse ended, their work for the day was not yet done.

About 9:20 Tuesday evening a school bus drove down Oneida Street, crossing Willard Drive. A few minutes later it came through the intersection again. In court Tuesday jurors were instructed to be ready for a school bus to pick them up at 9 p.m., and the bus would take them past the crash site.

This was done to let jurors get a look at the intersection where the crash happened last June.
No one got out of the bus, nor did it stop for any extended period of time.

In court, the judge said the jury as well as the judge, attorneys, and Anrietta Geske, the defendant, were all supposed to be on the bus.

Jurors were instructed not to talk about what they saw...if they had questions they were instructions to write them down.

Testimony in the case is scheduled to continue Wednesday morning.
