NORTHEAST WISCONSIN - Police are looking for a man they believe is responsible for multiple robberies in Northeast Wisconsin. Within the last six weeks, police say one man robbed gas stations in Brookside, Chase, and Pulaski. Police say they are convinced he will strike again.
"He made both of them get into the cooler, that seems to be one of his little MOs," said Dawn Williamson, one of the owners of Grand Central Depot Brookside. Her Shell station was was robbed about six weeks ago. The clerk working that night told Williamson a man with a gun came in and demanded money.
"There was one other person in the store and her, and he walked around the corner with a gun and said give me the money basically and then told her to get in the cooler with the other person and gave him enough time to leave and that was it," said Williamson.
Williamson, and police, believe it's the same man that has robbed two other area gas stations. They're not saying how much money he got away with.
"It's just very angering that somebody can just come in, and think, whether it's - times are bad or it was a dare or whatever - that they can come in and take something that's not theirs," said Williamson, "Very aggravating, very angering."
"We believe somebody has information on these crimes and knows specifics about it and we need them to call," said Pulaski Police Chief Randal Dunford.
Dunford says the same suspect robbed a BP station in Pulaski, and a Citgo in Chase. He's hoping surveillance video, taken in Chase and provided to FOX 11 by the Oconto County Sheriff's Department, will help police find the man. If they don't, there could be serious consequences.
"I think he'll strike again. He'll strike again until we catch him," said Dunford, who is concerned the crimes could escalate.
While police work on finding the man, Dawn Williamson has taken steps to improve safety at her station.
"We're taking extra precautions that I don't want to disclose, but it's not going to be quite so easy next time, I can guarantee you that," said Williamson.
Police say they want to hear from anyone who has information about the robberies. You can contact either the Pulaski Police at 822-5613 or Gren Bay Area Crime Stoppers at 920-432-STOP (7867), or through the crime stoppers website .
