APPLETON - A former teacher at an Appleton Catholic school has been convicted of child enticement and causing a child to view a sex act.
Daniel Callan pleaded no contest to the charges in Outagamie County court Tuesday. In exchange for the plea, prosecutors reduced sexual assault charges and dropped two other charges alleging the 26-year-old exposed himself to a student.
Callan, who taught at St. Bernadette Elementary School, was arrested in May 2008 after an alleged incident involving a student.
He is due to be sentenced Jan. 15.
