ASHWAUBENON - Orange flames and thick smoke, poured from Pep-A-Roni's Sports Bar and Pizzeria early Wednesday morning.
"Upon arrival we saw smoke coming from the eaves and flames were visible inside. It was contained to the restaurant area," said Chief Eric Dunning of Ashwaubeon Public Safety.
While the building is not considered a total loss, everything inside the bar is.
"Big screen TVs are melted, ceiling tiles are melted out, so it's a complete loss inside this building," said Lt. Jody Crocker of Ashwaubenon Public Safety.
Fortunately no was hurt in the early morning blaze.
Next door to Pep-A-Roni's is Stadium Sports & Antiques. The flames stayed away from that business, but the smoke may have gotten the best of it.
"Two steps in and it took your breath away. You had to cover your face to even breathe, it was just so heavy," said Stadium Sports & Antiques owner Ken Carriveau.
Carriveau says most of his valuable items are enclosed in cases and frames, but many of the clothing items will likely be destroyed.
There is no word yet on the cost of the damage.
