Barn fire extinguished

TOWN OF GREEN BAY - An early morning barn fire in Brown County has been extinguished.

Fire officials say the fire started around 5:30 a.m. in a barn on Gravel Pit Road in the Town of Green Bay.

Investigators say a heat lamp caused some hay to start on fire.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire pretty quickly, but four adult pigs were killed.

New Franken firefighters responded to the scene, they tell FOX 11 the cold weather Friday morning was a challenge.

Damage to the barn was limited.
