WAUPACA COUNTY - The Waupaca County Sheriff's Department has created a fund to help pay for possible DNA tests in the deer torture case.
Nicholas Hermes, Robby Kuenzi, and Rory Kuenzi have been charged with torturing and killing six deer with their snowmobiles earlier this month.
Authorities say the three men were on their snowmobiles, when they corralled the deer and ran them over. One deer was even found tied to a tree.
Captain Don Conat says dozens of tests of blood samples from the deer, snowmobiles, and clothing might be needed.
The Wisconsin Crime Lab doesn't do the test, so Waupaca County may need to hire a private lab. Authorities are told the DNA testing will cost approximately $150 per test.
