GREEN BAY - Human remains found in southern Brown County have been transported to the state crime lab in Madison.
Chief Deputy John Gossage of the Brown County Sheriff's Department said investigators hoped to find out more about the remains - including the sex of the person - by late Tuesday. Hunters found the remains last Wednesday in the Town of Morrison.
The remains were originally supposed to be sent to Madison Monday, but poor road conditions delayed the transport. The remains and frozen dirt around the bones had been held in the morgue at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
