The Department of Transportation plans to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 17 to mark the completion of the Hwy. 41 expansion project in Oconto County.
The ceremony is set for 2 p.m. at the intersection of Highways 41 and 22 in Oconto. Among the dignitaries invited to participate are Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle, US Congressman Steve Kagen, Transportation Secretary Frank Busalacchi and other state and local officials. Plans also include participation by the Oconto High School band and local veterans.
Following the ribbon cutting, the celebration will continue until 7 p.m. Some of the many activities include a DJ, food, refreshments, children’s activities, helicopter rides, and a classic car and motorcycle parade.
