GREEN BAY - We have a follow up to another "Making a Difference" story from a few months ago.
It was about Ben's Wish and its effort to fight childhood hunger by providing food filled backpacks for students to take home for a weekend.
Ben's Wish is named for Ben Delain who died in an ATV crash.
The update is that Ben's mother received an Aaron Rodgers autographed football helmet. She won it in a sweepstakes giveaway from Prevea Health.
Becky Delain says she will auction the helmet off to raise money for the backpack program.
She was presented with the helmet Tuesday at Jefferson Elementary School.
"We are absolutely thrilled. We are so excited, we're so pumped, I can't even tell you how much excitement is just going on around here right now,” said Becky Delain.
Prevea Health also announced all proceeds from its annual golf tournament will be donated to Ben's Wish.
Last year, the event raised more than $12,000. And organizers are hoping for even more this year.
