MADISON - Republican candidates for governor Scott Walker and Mark Neumann will square off Wednesday night in their final debate before the Sept. 14 primary.
The town hall-style debate is being broadcast statewide on public television. The two candidates will field questions both from a moderator and from people viewing the debate at various locations across the state.
Walker is Milwaukee County executive and has the endorsement of the Republican Party. Neumann is a home builder in the Milwaukee area and served two terms in Congress in the 1990s.
The previous two debates between Neumann and Walker have shown that they largely agree on the major issues.
The winner will advance to face the likely Democratic Party nominee Tom Barrett.
