MANITOWOC COUNTY - The Manitowoc County Health Department will be holding a H1N1 flu vaccine clinic this week. It will take place on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Manitowoc County Expo Merchants Building.
The H1N1 flu vaccine will be available to the following target groups:
• Pregnant women
• Persons who live with or provide care for infants less than six months old
• Healthcare workers with direct patient contact
• Children aged 6 months to 4 years
• Children and adolescents aged 5-18 years who have medical conditions that place them at higher risk for influenza-related complications.
The H1N1 vaccine will be available as either a nasal spray or as a shot, depending on a person’s age and health factors.
More clinics will be scheduled in other areas of Manitowoc
County as more vaccine becomes available.
