Animals, barn lost in fire

MARIBEL - A Manitowoc County farm lost two buildings and five animals in a fire Monday night.

Firefighters were called to the farm at 9414 County Highway Z in the Village of Maribel at 9:21. The fire was put out around 3:30 Tuesday morning.

The Maribel fire chief said a large barn and a granary were destroyed. The fire also killed three horses, a cow and a goat. No people were hurt.

It's not yet known what sparked the fire.
