A Green Bay Gamblers jersey presented to vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin is now available on eBay, according to Resch Center officials.
The jersey has Palin's name on the back and the number "08." The eBay listing has a minimum bid of $24.99. However, the auction is listed as ending Sunday without any bids.
The jersey is listed as being in Arlington, VA., with no explanation of how it got there.
The Gamblers team that year had two players from Alaska - Steve Summerhays and William Rapuzzi. PMI's Terry Charles relayed the story that Palin knew Rapuzzi.
Gifts to the president - such as the Packers' "Commander In Chief" jersey presented to President Obama - are directed to the National Archives. Some items may also end up with a presidential library or museum after the term is completed.
