Police searching for robbery suspect

DE PERE - De Pere police are searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery that happened just after noon Saturday.

Officers say a man jumped the counter at the Advance America Cash Advance on Main Avenue, and produced what he implied was a gun.

He demanded and was given an unknown amount of money.

The suspect was last seen driving east on Main Avenue in De Pere.

Police say the vehicle the suspect was driving is identical to a van reported stolen from the 1400 block of Main Street in Green Bay earlier in the day.

Witnesses say the van is a 2001 Ford Windstar with "Flowerama" written on the sides and back window.

The license plate is RVV-582.

Officers are looking for a black man wearing a 3/4 length dark colored winter jacket, and dark blue pants with a vertical white stripe on the sides.

He is about 5'08'' in height, of medium build and has a shaved head.

De Pere police are asking anyone with information to call them at 391-7450.
