KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) - A 59-year-old man has been found beaten to death in his home in Kenosha and police have taken the man's 36-year-old son into custody.
A news release from the Kenosha Police Department says officers found the body in the basement of a home on Friday afternoon.
Police say the investigation revealed the man had a physical confrontation with his son on Aug. 31 or Sept. 1.
The son's vehicle was found at his mother's residence in Antioch, Ill.
Police there took the man into custody on Saturday night.
He acknowledged fighting with his father.
The medical examiner's office says blunt force trauma is the preliminary cause of the death, but the office hasn't yet released the victim's name.
The son is being held in the Lake County Jail in Illinois pending extradition to Wisconsin.
