COOPERSTOWN - The death of a 50-year-old Ashwaubenon woman has been ruled a homicide and her husband is behind bars.
The Manitowoc County corner says Miki Greaves died of multiple sharp force injuries.
Her body was discovered by two hunters early Saturday morning in woods near the town of Cooperstown.
Authorities say the suspect, 40-year-old Ambrose Greaves, is currently being held in the Manitowoc County Jail. He was questioned by investigators for the first time Monday.
The hunters who found Miki's body say she was partially naked, surrounded by boxes, an umbrella, and candy wrappers.
Investigators believe the scene may have been set up. They also say the couple was going through marital problems.
"I don't know exactly what their status was. I know they are husband and wife; possibly there was a pending divorce... I'm not sure," said Manitowoc County Sheriff Robert Hermann.
FOX 11 also learned Monday that Ambrose was involved in a car crash Friday evening on Highway 43. At the time the Brown County Sheriff's Department said his injuries were not consistent with the crash. Authorities are not saying what those injuries are, just that they prevented Ambrose from being interviewed until Monday.
