MADISON, Wis. (AP) - The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says most road
construction projects in the state are done for the year, which
should ease travel over the Thanksgiving holiday.
The department said Thursday that the project that will most
affect travel is work along Interstate 94 in the northbound lanes
from the Illinois state line to Highway 50.
However, the multiyear project to expand Highway 41 to four
lanes between Green Bay and Marinette is now complete.
Information about lane closures, traffic accidents and road
conditions can be found by calling 511 or online at
www.511wi.gov.
Last year nine people were killed on the roads during the
Thanksgiving holiday period. That was down from the
five-year-average of 14.
