CITY OF WEYAUWEGA, Wis. (AP) - Police say hypothermia apparently contributed to the death of a missing Weyauwega man whose body was found Tuesday.
Forty-four-year-old Patrick Leopold had been missing since Saturday night, but was not reported missing to authorities until Monday morning.
Leopold disappeared after running his car into a ditch east of Weyauwega. Searchers found his body in a remote field next to the Waupaca River.
Waupaca County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Al Kraeger tells WDUX Radio that it appears Leopold became disoriented and was trying to get through a fence.
Police do not suspect foul play. Autopsy results are pending.
